Caution notices are active as the severe weather system sweeps through the Britain, bringing heavy rain and gusts of up to 160 km/h in exposed areas.

An elevated danger notice, warning that airborne wreckage could pose a risk to life, has been activated for large parts of Northern Ireland and the north of Scotland.
