19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a closely contested three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle previously this season.
His defensive play style and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game break points in a tight third set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
